MWEB Zimbabwe was launched in March 2000 with the acquisition of three local ISPs. MWEB Zimbabwe is a joint venture with Terandeep, which owns a 30% shareholding. MWEB has established itself as the leading Internet Service Provider, with majority market share of both the home and corporate markets.
MWEB Zimbabwe offers a variety of connectivity products, which include:
- various dial-up products for home and corporate users,
- leased lines
- wireless access options.
Value added services are bundled with the connectivity products, which include firewall protection, anti-virus protection and spam filtering.
The MWEB Zimbabwe portal or home page, also offers access to a web based mail facility that allows customers to collect, send and store e-mail remotely from any computer connected to the internet anywhere in the world. MWEB Zimbabwe roaming is a convenient service that offers MWEB Zimbabwe customers connectivity in South Africa without the extra cost.
