VoIP
Voice-over Internet Protocol allows businesses to save costs by making telephone
calls using an Internet connection.
Broadband Talk
MWEB's consumer VoIP offering, Broadband Talk, was introduced in June this
year, offering consumers and small office home office (SOHO) user affordable,
user-friendly phone calls using the Internet. This product utilises a normal
telephone handset to make VoIP calls, and which does not require the user's
PC to be switched on. It is also the first time a South African ISP has made
a VoIP service available as a standard part of its ADSL subscription package
- the service is free and customers only pay for their calls.
